Sixth NDC Course Participants Attend “The UAE and its Consolidation of a Culture of Tolerance

H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, inaugurated on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 a symposium organized by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) entitled "The UAE and its consolidation of a culture of tolerance and coexistence locally and globally". The NDC Course 2018-2019 participants attended with the aim to explore the concepts and themes of the symposium from religious and political perspectives. The symposium was also attended by a group of Excellencies and Highnesses.

 

This symposium is an affirmation of the image of interfaith coexistence established by the UAE as a successful civilizational and humanitarian model. The announcement of the Year of Tolerance reflects the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership and embodies values of peaceful coexistence and human brotherhood among all peoples and religions.

 

The symposium comes just before the historic visit of Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, and His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church to the UAE in February 2019. This visit stresses the UAE's role in spreading the culture of peace and love among all religions and races.
